Technical/Functional Skills
  • Install and configure Cache databases.
  • Performs monitoring and maintenance of Cache databases.
  • Applying major and minor software updates and fixes on the database.
  • Planning datacenter for high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR).
  • Monitor and proactively address problems and issues with database.
  • Maintains proper documentation throughout the process of Cache database administration and maintenance.
  • Develop scripts to automate day to day technical tasks.
  • Manages migration of Cache databases.
  • Establish monitoring guidelines and install/configure monitoring tools related to database alerts.
  • Setup backup tools/ procedures and test restores from backups.
  • Perform timely database workload tests and optimization tasks for optimal database performance.
  • Work with other technical team members to establish end to end database delivery model for applications.
  • Manage several Cache database environments on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform Unix administration tasks as needed.
  • Knowledge of basic shell scripting for task automations.
  • Problem solving ability using data provided by end users or technical teams.
  • SQL basics is an add on.
  • Good technical and non-technical communication skills.
