Wednesday- Friday 2p-10p

Saturday - Sunday 10a-6p

The Lead Behavioral Health Tech is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Behavioral Health Tech team. The primary role of the Lead BHT is to ensure the tech team is trained appropriately, able to perform all job duties, and is in compliance with the daily procedures along-side the BHT department head.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the tech team
  • Ensures all BHT's are trained properly and adequately
  • Performs all UA/Breathalyzer audits
  • Act as a team player in all situations that arise, communicate effectively and respectfully with employees and clients
  • Collaborate with team members of the BHT team and other teams to ensure excellent client care
  • Always put the safety of staff and clients first
  • Responsible for alerting the supervisor and appropriate clinical team members when Marchman drops are missed
  • Assist with the scheduling of BHT team and PTO management
  • Works closely with supervisor to provide employee feedback, reviews, evaluations, and disciplinary actions
  • Audit all client belongings to make sure they are in compliance
  • Schedule daily and weekly audits for client rounds, tech logs, level system, attendance, room searches, and other audits assigned.
  • Oversee 2nd shift restocking of dry and refrigerated goods
  • Assist with the scheduling of client transportation
  • Address problem behaviors as needed through verbal de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities
  • Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff
  • Willing to seek extra work, accepts new responsibilities, and adapts to potential departmental change. Accepts and profits from direction and constructive feedback. Prioritizes multiple projects and meets project deadlines.
  • Ability to work closely with the multidisciplinary teams
  • Work closely with the Tech Supervisor for employee scheduling, staffing, auditing, training, and new processes to be implemented
  • Ensure compliance within the department with all state and federal regulations as well as Riversides policies and procedures
  • Maintain upbeat, can-do, customer/client centric, positive, recovery-minded attitude at all times.
  • Participates in training to ensure knowledge of Riverside Recovery's services and philosophies
  • Other duties and assignments as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record for 3+ years
  • 3+ years of experience of working in the Behavioral Health field
  • Ability to clearly communicate in various forms: verbal, written, text
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy requirements
