RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responsible for patient flow.
  2. Review daily clinical and surgical schedule and be able to anticipate appropriately.
  3. Ensure exemplary patient care and patient service is provided at all times.
  4. Increase physician and or provider's overall patient retention.
  5. Phone triage in a timely and appropriate manner
  6. Assists with events and seminars both in office and offsite venues.
  7. Assist in all aspects of a clinical and surgical environment.
  8. Document clinical and surgical chart notes appropriately and accurately.
  9. Responsible for helping educate patients regarding cosmetic services recommended by the physician.
  10. Patient re-activation calls
  11. Ensure exam rooms and clinic are clean at all times.
  12. Other Duties: Completes projects, performs other duties and assumes various responsibilities as determined by the management.


Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Certification preferred (i.e., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, etc.)

Experience: Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office. Prior dermatology experience preferred.

Performance Requirements:
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
  • Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD-10.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients and co-workers alike.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted medical office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.

Physical Requirements: Must possess the manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
