CalPortland is seeking a summer helper for our Internal Controls department. This position is ideal for a student interested in accounting.

*Compensation*
$17.50/hr-$24.00/hr DOE

*Responsibilities*

* Complete Safety and MSHA training and any other site/job specific required training
* Assist in conducting preliminary reviews to identify business process-related risks to determine objectives, scope, audit programs, and extent of testing requirements
* Assist in routine housekeeping and maintenance of the facilities
* Assist in providing customers with high-quality value-added audit, internal control, and consulting services
* Learn about other CalPortland departments and interface as required
* Perform tasks as assigned

*Education*
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

*Requirements/Qualifications*

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e.Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Good attendance and punctual
* Ability to work independently and in a team setting
*Preferred:*

* Experience with SAP
* Prior experience or internship in the construction or building materials industry

*Conditions of Employment*
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
