Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the care of the including but not limited to pre and post care of procedural patients, stroke and trauma patients, cardiovascular disease including AFIB and other arrhythmias, patient control analgesia (PCAs), epidural and nerve blocks, subdural and ventricular drains, NIH stroke scale, titrating IV medications and arterial lines as well as other invasive lines or drains and airway/respiratory devices- trachs and high flow and IV maintenance

Qualifications:

  • A Registered Nurse license in a compact state as defined by the NH Board of Nursing is required.
  • Minimum one to three years relevant experience
  • Associate Degree
  • ACLS within 45 days of hire
  • BLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certified within 45 days of hire
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Situated in Portsmouth, NH, Portsmouth Regional Hospital is a premier 234-bed acute care facility that offers exceptional healthcare services to the Seacoast region of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. This hospital is the sole ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center on the Seacoast of New Hampshire, making it an essential resource for the community. It boasts the region's only comprehensive heart and vascular program, along with 24/7 comprehensive neurosurgical and stroke clot retrieval programs for both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes.
