The Association Manager position will have the following responsibilities:

  • Meeting and event planning for medical specialty societies managed by MedChi
  • Maintain effective relationships with several medical specialty societies
  • Provide staff support to help manage the daily operations
  • Bookkeeping, budget, and fiscal responsibility
  • Communicate with Board and Committee Members
  • Coordinate and work with others as a team
  • Manage timeline and deadlines
  • Attend meetings and take minutes
  • Various other administrative duties to include answering the phone, copying, data entry, mail and coordinating meetings

The candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a health care organization or a non-profit professional association
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Able to produce professional level written materials
  • Experience working with an association management system
  • Efficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to work nights and weekends to attend meetings
