Job Summary and QualificationsUnder limited supervision but the radiologist's direction, the Ultrasound Technician completes sonography procedures including routine sonograms and interventional sonograms including biopsies.
What you will do in this role:
- Sonographers participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities.
- Sonographers work within the guidelines established in the policies and procedure manual and comply with all safety and infection control guidelines.
- Sonographers work in accordance with JCAHO, State, or other regulatory or accreditation agencies in the performance of their duties.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Completion of an accredited program by the CAAHEP, AMA or other accrediting agency.
- Registered with the ARDMS or ARRT. DMS registry and RVT required within 12 months of hire.
- BLS required within 30 days
- Ultrasound experience preferred.
