• Shift Schedule: 4 days, 10-hr shifts
• Call Schedule: 1 night per week & every 3rd weekend
• Rounding Included: Yes
• Duties:
- Orders/performs diagnostic studies such as but not limited to, EMG, electrocardiogram, compartment pressure measurements & x-ray examinations including special x­ray examinations CT, MRI & bone scans.
- Assists in surgery to include but not limited to, first assist, deep & superficial tissue closures, application of appliances & any other action delegated by surgeon; Conducts hospital rounds, writes orders & otherwise assists Orthopedic Surg.
- Serves as primary orthopedic call for the Hospital’s patients in ED & various IP units.
• Required Procedures/Skills:
- Digital blocks, regional anesthesia & minor OP surgical procedures such as but not limited to: tendon repair, wound closure, wound mgmt, wound debridement, incision & drainage, needle biopsy, percutaneous pinning of fractures, k-wire removal & hardware removal.
- Diagnostic & therapeutic procedures including, but not limited to, joint & bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures & dislocations, injections of joints, tendons, trigger points & bursa, brace, cast & splint applications.
- EMR Proficiency.
- Able to work independently.

- Site requires 4 hrs of unpaid EPIC training (Testing out is an option: 2 hrs)
