Job Summary and Qualifications


A Special Procedures Technologist assists physicians in performance of diagnostic special procedures/endovascular procedures/cath. With our experienced team, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional level of coordinated care throughout treatment to all patients. What You Will Do In This Role:


  • You will operate x-ray equipment, process images, prepare rooms and medications as appropriate.
  • You will prepare the patient for radiography – explain the procedure, transfer patient to table, position patient and assist the patient at end of procedure.
  • You will be efficient in the operation of the PACS and Computed Radiography systems.
  • You will perform Point of Care Testing for Urine HCG and Creatinine and calculate GFR.
  • You will complete daily billing – to include reconciliation of the order exams list, Hospital Billing List and the Final Day Sheet.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician
  • Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or Certified Vascular Interventional Radiology
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

Medical City Lewisville is a full-service 190+ bed medical and surgical facility. We offer a broad spectrum of care to the communities of southern Denton County. We have emergency services at our main campus and at Medical City ER Flower Mound. Our patient tower has two floors dedicated to women’s services. We have a specialty obstetrics referral center for high risk OB services. We have a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Medical City Lewisville is a Level III Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center. Excellent customer service and patient safety are our top priorities.
