Locum Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Locums Nurse Practitioner to join a primary care practice that serves patients of all ages in a value-based care setting. This role offers a flexible schedule and requires autonomous practice in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Value-driven system, providing a seamless, patient-centric experience that maximizes quality and accessibility. Our approach aligns the interests of patients, providers, and payors to ensure affordable, high-quality care across Medicare, Medicaid, and ACA Marketplace populations.
Compensation: Up to $80 Per Hour
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday with rotating Saturdays
- Patient Load: Average of 15 patients per day
- Setting: Value-based primary care for all ages
- Flexibility: Rotating evenings and weekends may be required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Provide patient education and promote wellness initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Refer patients to specialists as needed and manage follow-ups
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and professional regulations
Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Registered Nurse (RN) licenses in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of primary care experience (must be able to practice autonomously)
- National Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (preferred)
- Master’s degree in Nursing (Doctorate preferred)
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred)
- Proficiency in EHR systems, medical databases, and e-prescribing software
