Job Summary and QualificationsThe Outpatient Mental Health Therapist in our PHP and IOP programs deliver exceptional, patient-focused care by providing clinical services in a multidisciplinary team focused on psychodynamic therapy, group psychotherapy, and psycho-education to patients admitted into the Outpatient Programs.
What you will do in this Role:
- Conduct one-on-one and group psychoeducational and process groups, focused in skills/resilience training and evidence-based treatment.
- Develop treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate with existing outpatient therapy care teams.
- Assess environment and patient’s safety status and reports/responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition.
- Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
- Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
- Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- Masters Degree - Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work- REQUIRED
- 3+ years of therapeutic experience - Strongly Preferred
- Psychotherapy experience - REQUIRED
- Advanced Licensure in the state of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist) - REQUIRED
