Job Summary and Qualifications

At Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, we are looking for a compassionate and reliable registered nurse in our Labor and Delivery unit to organize and prioritize nursing care for L&D patients. In this role, you will be required to make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition to our team. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today

· You will care for patients requiring fetal assessment/fetal monitoring

· On our team, you will be responsible for managing the patient’s pain including epidurals and patient controlled analgesia

· You will encourage Family Centered Care

· On our team, you will guide and be a resource for new employees

· You will have expert knowledge for supporting mothers who breastfeed

· Instructing and educating patients and families is a daily responsibility

Requirements

· Must hold a current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia

· ADN degree (BSN preferred)

· BLS certification

· At least one year of L&D experience

· Knowledge of antepartum and intrapartum nursing along with postpartum couplet care
