Responsibilities:
  • Reads plans/blueprints and performs necessary work
  • Can read/interpret installation, operation, and maintenance manuals (IOMs) and submittals to troubleshoot and configure HVAC systems
  • Can perform standard operations and tasks associated with the start-up and commissioning of various types of HVAC equipment
  • Comfortable with refrigerant piping and can successfully execute its installation
  • Maintains a complete set of tools
Qualifications:

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for company assets used on job site
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Make purchases at local supply houses following company procedure
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Joumeyrnan or Master license
  • CFC Universals required
  • Vo-tech or trade school education in specified field preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of HVAC
  • Able to perform mathematical calculations
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment to complete a job
  • Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions and approaches to problems

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have the ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Must have own transportation
  • Spend long periods of time standing
  • Ability to climb ladders to perform work
  • Work in high elevations

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Periodic travel to multiple job locations
  • May be subjected to inclement weather and hazardous working conditions
  • Work weekend or night-time duty, as needed
