Skilled CNC programmer to operate, program, set-up and maintain CNC equipment. As a CNC programmer, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications, adjusting the machine cutting paths, and performing quality checks on the final product. May also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with blueprints
- Use computer software to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly (use conversational program methods M&G Codes, FANUC, MAZATROL)
- Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
- Consider tools required to cut materials and program machines accordingly
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
- Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening
- May train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs
- Operate & set-up CNC Lathes and/or Mills when programming is not required.
- Notifies Production Mgr. or Maintenance of any equipment malfunctions or problems that are impeding production.
- Ensures that all safety-related concerns are communicated to Production Manager. and Safety Manager and addressed.
- Follows safety measures required for job requirements.
- Keeps area clean and organized at all times.
- Ensures all production data is entered into MES system.
- Reports any quality concerns to the Production Manager and Quality Director.
- This position programs and operators CNC equipment.
- Operates lift truck and performs all other duties as assigned.
