We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Production Services Infrastructure Support II to join our Technology Service Group Production Services End Point Security team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA – HYBRID.

  • The focus will always be on being Proactive, Responsive, and Preventative. Security focused mindset is fundamental, key, and critical.
  • Cross train and be part of a cross responsible for production support of multiple security platforms, some of which are system hardening validation/drift (Tripwire) and reporting, database security reporting (Guardium), or permissions and access reporting (StealthAudit)
  • Triage/remediation of various security and monitoring agents via automation and manual intervention.
  • Responsible for daily requests, incident management, and responding to security incidents in a production environment.
  • Identify and manage special projects requiring thoughtful analysis and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to work independently, taking the initiative when required.
  • Collaborate with internal security and production support teams.
  • Be an escalation point for security agent and platform troubleshooting.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Solid foundation in operating systems, and production support skills, with familiarity in networking concepts, and data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with SQL queries or similar database building and manipulation.
  • Strong problem-solving experience and analysis capabilities with tools such as Splunk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as development, infrastructure, and security, to ensure the smooth operation of the applications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, knowledge base articles, and runbooks, to support ongoing operations and training of new team members.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Well versed in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python and BASH.
  • Understand application tiering architecture (web, application, database), communication patterns and application connectivity.
  • Experience with BladeLogic and Ansible is a plus, or any other software package distribution tool.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
  • Nice to have would be experience StealthAudit, Guardium or similar access / permissions monitoring applications.
  • Strong Verbal & written communication skills.
  • Experience in data analysis to identify opportunities and solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience with backup technologies including cloud-based backups.
  • System forensics/investigation skills, including analyzing system artifacts (file system, memory, running processes, network connections, logs).
  • Possesses strong time-management skills, excellent analytical skills to prioritize multiple tasks, and work with end users to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • The ability to cross-functionally lead and manage the response to high priority, high visibility operational security issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred8 - 10 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
