Our client, a health center located in Illinois, is seeking a locum Family Practice Physician for a 24-day assignment with the potential for extension. Job Overview:
We are seeking a locum Family Practice Physician to provide coverage and support for our university health center in Illinois. The ideal candidate will collaborate with and supervise nurse practitioners, provide direct patient care, and be comfortable working with a diverse international student population.
Job Details:
- Primary focus: Collaboration with and supervision of two nurse practitioners
- On-site presence: One day per week (preferably Wednesdays)
- Off-site availability: Flexible hours for consultations and supervision of medical staff
- Patient care: Half-day of direct patient care once a week (preferred)
- Responsibilities include:
- Supervising and collaborating with nurse practitioners
- Providing primary care services to university students
- Administering vaccinations and immunizations
- Educating and assessing cases for international students
- Using Point and Click EMR system
Requirements:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Practice
- Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain one
- Experience working with diverse patient populations
- Ability to communicate effectively with students from various cultural backgrounds
- Flexibility to adapt to the university health center environment
