Job Summary and QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:
- Achieves professional goals set during previous evaluation period
- Demonstrates accountability in knowledge of and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures
- Demonstrates competency in performance of department procedures.
- Demonstrates problem solving skills with abnormal results
- Demonstrates competent performance skills in Quality Assurance, Quality Control
- Demonstrates fiscal responsibility for property, equipment & supplies
- Demonstrates Initiative
- Enhances professional growth, development and knowledge.
- Quality - demonstrates competence with departmental performance improvement, performance monitors and Quality Assurance activities
- Prefer MT(ASCP) certified or MT (AMT) certified.
- Required - Completion of a laboratory clinical rotation and two years hospital experience as a MT or a minimum of four years hospital experience if MLT.
- Preferred - One year laboratory experience in a hospital environment performing/supervising POCT or quality assurance procedures
- Bachelors Degree
- Medical Lab Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
