Job Summary and Qualifications

The diagnostic Sonographer is a skilled person qualified by academic and clinical training to provide patient services using diagnostic ultrasound under the supervision of a physician responsible for the use and interpretation of ultrasound procedures. The Sonographer may be involved with the patients of the physicians in any medical setting of which the physician is responsible.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Graduate of an accredited program or completing an acceptable pathway recognized by the ARDMS
  • Registered Vascular Specialist, or RDMS OB/GYN Specialty, or RDMS Abdomen Specialty, or Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
