Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures for assigned patients under the direction of the Director of Imaging Services and supervision of the Supervisor of Radiology Diagnostic. This position ensures the safe and effective use of radiographic equipment, adhering to established hospital and departmental protocols. The technologist will be responsible for preparing and administering contrast media, positioning patients, maintaining safety standards, assisting in emergency situations, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during imaging procedures.


What qualifications you will need:




Education:


  • Completion of a formal Radiological Technologist training in an ARRT approved school.


Experience:





  • Completion of a twenty-four-month clinical internship.


Licensure/ Certification:



  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required


  • Current registration as an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) must renew certification and /or registration annually with 24 hours of continuing education bi-annually.


  • Licensed in the State of New Hampshire with the Board of Medical Imaging& Radiation Therapy.
