Job Summary and Qualifications

  • You are responsible for coordinating quality/performance improvement initiatives impacting core clinical and operational processes required for hospital licensure and accreditation
  • You will conduct case review for quality assurance activities
  • You will collect, monitor, and trends clinical and operational process and outcome data
  • You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to identify and enhance quality issues that produce quantitative and qualitative results for internal and external customers
  • You will facilitate and participate in safety analysis and investigations and action plans to mitigate recurrence
  • You will be responsible for abstracting and collecting clinical data elements, maintaining required logs, and conducting chart reviews to ensure compliance with established nationally recognized and publicly reported quality patient outcomes as required by TJC, CMS QIO’s, other state and federal agencies, and other national data registries
  • You will facilitate facility wide clinical improvement activities and manage teams and projects related to improving patient safety and outcomes
  • You will collaborate with the service line, physician and ancillary department leadership and care teams to monitor care processes and develop, implement, and evaluate changes that deliver measurable improvement in quality, safety and care experience elements of workflow and care processes

What qualifications you will need:
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: BSN in Nursing required; MSN preferred
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
  • Preferred certifications: CPHQ, CPPS
  • Minimum of three years experience required
