Experience:

• 24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• 3 months of experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license in hand at the time of application.

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Candidates must live at least 75 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.

• COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required for onboarding. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Travelers must have a permanent address outside of the 75 mile straight line radius of intended facility, not driving distance.

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Holiday Coverage Required: Yes

Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position.

Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location.

Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved.

2 years’ experience current required in an 18 plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit required.

At alternate location-Will float to med/surg. Will float to ICU to care for tele patients boarding in ICU. Will float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands.

Traveler must pass the BCA testing during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA test will be dismissed.

SHIFTS: 12 hour varied shift position - Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays required. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. Ratios 1:4 will go 1:5/6 if needed based on acuity of patients.

ORIENTATION: 1ST week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.

SCRUBS: Required and NOT provided by the facility. White scrub top. Scrub pants in sangria red, plum purple, hunter green or black.
