Job Summary and QualificationsTerre Haute Regional Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, team player to join our Intermediate Care unit to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As part of the IMC team, you will be supporting critically ill patients including Open-Heart Surgery, MI, Hyper/Hypotensive, Arrhythmia. Stroke Rule Out/Neuro Care and Arterial Line monitoring. · You will be assessing, planning and evaluating patients care needs while carrying out physician orders.
· As a member of the IMC team you will also be responsible for administering prescribed medication, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, monitoring vital signs, and instructing/educating patients and families.
· Some other key job duties include providing respiratory and ventilator management, recording patient conditions using Meditech computerized documentation system and overseeing patient discharge planning needs
· You will also be providing support for new staff through mentoring and orientation.
Requirements
- Current Indiana RN licensure and graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- BLS certification upon hire and maintained throughout employment at THRH
- ACLS, and NIHSS certifications within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment at THRH
- Attend TCAT course within 12 months of hire
- Two years + of experience in Med surg or Critical Care preferred
