Job Summary
Comcast Corporation is looking for a Coordinator of Impact and Inclusion Communications that is responsible for internal and external communications activities and tactics in support of the company’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and community impact efforts. The candidate will join a team focused on driving internal and external messaging related to amplifying Comcast’s commitment to furthering its longstanding commitment to championing diversity, advancing equity, and building an inclusive culture in the workplace and communities where employees live and work. The role will include drafting employee-centric messages and communications as well as project management of strategic employee and executive engagement, partnerships projects, content creation, and support of internal/external events. The ideal candidate will have experience in both internal employee and DE&I communications.Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provides communications expertise to several teams in the organization, including DE&I, employee engagement/volunteerism, community impact, and Corporate Communications.
- Provides project support for programs related to impact and inclusion initiatives – including DE&I Speaker Series and heritage months; programs to support a diverse and inclusive workforce; and work with third parties in support of community impact initiatives.
- Supports the development and maintenance of corporate communications materials including presentations, internal communications articles, talking points, and event management for executive participation.
- Helps develop proactive external engagement tactics to support strategies that allow the company to demonstrate thought leadership in the impact and inclusion space.
- Develops, maintains, and organizes internal and external content for corporate websites, blogs, newsletters, emails, fact sheets, videos, presentations, and social posts that adhere to company voice and brand standards.
- Develop and manage content calendar for DE&I Speaker Series events, heritage months, employee engagement strategies and other duties as assigned.
- Leads the management of contracted resources as needed, including creative agencies, event planning firms, graphic designers, consultants, etc.
Core Responsibilities:
- Drafts communications materials such as speeches, video scripts, briefings for speaking engagements, talking points, blogs, internal articles, and employee-centric messages.
- Arranges and conducts communications activities; maintains key relationships both inside and outside of the organization.
- Sets up speaking engagements and often prepares speeches for company officials.
- Supports in the execution of events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with communications or journalism discipline preferred.
- 2-5 years of related communications experience, particularly in corporate communications or at a PR agency, with preference given to those with internal/employee communications experience.
- Keen communications intuition, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-player approach.
- Results-oriented, proactive, dynamic, energetic, confident, articulate, and a self-starter able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
- Productive under pressure and able to deal with change.
- Experience in communicating and measuring effectiveness and results.
- Energetic, collaborative, and highly creative.
- Able to influence and engage leadership, direct and indirect reports, and peers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in the utilization of all Microsoft Office Suite programs, including, but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Photoshop, Adobe, and other graphic design skills a plus.
- A 24/7 professional capable of juggling projects at night and/or on weekends.

- Prepares annual reports and writes proposals for various projects.

- Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.

Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
