Job Summary and QualificationsUltrasound Technologist - PRN/Per Diem

Your tasks and responsibilities as an Ultrasound Technologist (or Sonographer) include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner
- Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner
- Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images
- Maintain statistical results for quality improvement
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test result
Qualifications
- A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program
- General + Vascular experience highly preferred
- Valid ARDMS certification or RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) or ARDMS AB (abdomen specialty) or ARDMS OB/GYN within 1 year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, clerical, basic computer, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a 13-acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches and are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.
