Additional Details:

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Guaranteed Hours 48

Shift: every weekend block.

Weekend Requirement: EOW or 2 weekends per 4-week schedule

Holiday Requirement: will work into the perm staff holiday schedule as needed

Is there a call or standby requirement? Unknown

Floating Requirement: Floating to like units is required (floor/stepdown)

Ratios: 1:6 for Floor patients, 1:3 for Stepdown patients

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Multi-trauma, TBI, Fractures, General Surgery (choles, ostomies, etc.); Bariatric Surgery – Other typical Med-Surg as needed

Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: Must have experience with complex wound care, drains, devices, traumatic injuries, Chest tubes, respiratory support, TBI’s, complex spinal cord injuries, as well as other medical & surgical conditions.

Unit: 7 EAST - Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient Unit. Also a Nationally recognized Comprehensive Bariatric Surgery Center (This unit is Stepdown & Floor).

Are RNs required to titrate drips? Unknown
