Ascension St. Vincent Hospital is a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma facility. Offering 24 hour emergent treatment for Myocardial Infarction (STEMIs), STROKEs, and Trauma’s. The Indianapolis campus has 14 procedural labs, 3 cardiac catheterization, 4 electrophysiology, 1 neuro suite, and 4 vascular/body labs. We are in the process of expanding to our new Brain and Spine Hospital which will include 2 state of the art neuro suites.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.


Responsibilities:

  • Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
  • Prepare, implement, and document plan of care. Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
  • Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
  • Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart
Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date required.

Education:


• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
hire.

Additional Preferences

Cath lab or procedural experience preferred.
