  • CA license

  • TNCC/TCAR (can pending prior to start)
  • CPI or MAB preferred
  • Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
  • Trauma Level II Experience preferred

UNIT DETAILS:• Ratios: 1:3• Daily Census: 12• Rooms/Beds: 12/12• Patient Population: Adults - Geriatrics• Unit Systems: Cerner, Pyxis, SBAR• Shift: 3x12 Nights, 1900-0730• Weekend REQ: Every Other Weekend REQ• Float REQ: Within service line• Scrubs: Any color
CERTIFICATIONS:• Required: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and TNCC/TCAR (TNCC/TCAR can pend prior to start)• Preferred: CPI or MAB
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Years of EXP REQ: 2 yrs• First-timers accepted: Yes
SKILLS/EXP REQ:Work Settings:• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown• TelemetryCardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response:• Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias• TelemetryEndocrine/Metabolic:• IV insulin protocols• Titration of insulin dripsGI: Feeding tube managementIV Therapy/Phlebotomy:• Blood Product Administration• Accessing Ports• Central/Peripheral line care/management• Phlebotomy• PICC line management• Starting IVsMedications:• Heparin protocols• Manage cardiac drips - no titration• Manage vasoactive drips - no titration• PCA• Titrate cardiac dripsNeurological/Psychiatric:• CVA• Pre/post neurosurgery• Spinal cord injury/TBIOrthopedics: Ortho traumaPlastics: Surgical DrainsRespiratory/Thoracic:• Care of Ventilated Patient• Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac• External CPAP/BIPAP• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)• Interpretation of ABGs• Nasal Cannula• Non-invasive airway management• Oxygen face masks• Tracheostomy Management
