Duration: 03+ months (Possibility to extend)
Pay Range $15.00 to $20.00/hr.

We are looking for a “Maintenance Technician” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician, working under close supervision, is responsible for assisting in monitoring building system operations and performance. Utilizing a range of trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and HVAC troubleshooting, the Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth functioning of building systems. Additionally, the role involves performing day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance tasks while adhering to all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor building system operations and performance, reporting any issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and other building systems as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of building facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Complete maintenance and repair records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review assigned work orders and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Estimate time and materials required for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Order necessary materials and supplies to complete assigned tasks.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Inspect new installations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, including cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
• Perform carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as necessary.
• Provide vendor escorts as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Strong communication skills and ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from clients, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Basic analytical skills and ability to solve problems in standard situations.
• Proficiency in using a personal computer and/or PDA for work order systems, email, and training.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
• Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

• Certification or training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, or related trades.
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS) or similar technology.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
