Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Medical Surgical

Shift: Nights, 6p-6:30a, 12x3, 36hrs per week, EOW

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • IL License
  • Minimum 2 years' experience required
  • Med/Surg experience required
  • Wound Care/Wound Vac. Cerner experience required
  • Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Required Gastrointestinal Case
  • BLS
  • Previous Charge Experience preferred
  • Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
  • Trauma Level II Experience preferred

  • First-timers not accepted
  • Locals accepted, no radius
  • Will float as needed per department needs

Position / Specialty: Medical Surgical RNShift: 3x12 Nights (1800-0630)Avg. Daily Census: 35.Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years' experience required.First-timers accepted: No.Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend.Certs REQ: BLS required.Is on-call REQ? No.Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float as needed per department needs.Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.Locals accepted: Yes- no radius.Must have active IL license or be in application process with ETA to apply.
Special Requirements: Med/Surg experience required. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management. Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA. Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Tracheostomy Management. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions,Wound Care/Wound Vac. Cerner experience required.
