Description

Charge RN – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30pm, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday), and a minimum of 1 winter and 1 summer holiday.

The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Responsible for the workflow of the unit under the direction of the unit management team. Determines unit priorities for assigned timeframe with regard to patient care, patient flow (bed control), staffing and distribution of resources. Responsible for ensuring adherence to standards and regulations

Required qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
• upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• upon hire: RN license in state of hire and wherever care is provided.
• 1 year Nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Preferred qualifications:

• upon hire: National Certification in area of specialty is preferred, unless otherwise indicated.
