School Speech
Make a meaningful impact by supporting students from PreK through 12th grade in a dynamic educational environment. We're seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for contract positions. Supervision is provided, offering a fantastic opportunity for both experienced professionals and newer SLPAs eager for impactful, hands-on experience.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Active SLPA license in Colorado
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Familiarity with completing student assessments and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management abilities
- Comfort working with diverse learners across a wide age range
- Ability to collaborate effectively with special education teams and follow supervisory guidance
- Conduct assessments for students requiring speech and language services
- Provide direct and indirect interventions as outlined in student IEPs
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings with staff, families, and other service providers
- Maintain thorough documentation of services delivered and student progress
- Adjust strategies according to individual needs under the direction of an SLP supervisor
- Foster supportive, inclusive learning environments to help students achieve communication success
- 37.5-hour work weeks for a consistent schedule during the school year
- Dedicated supervision and mentorship in a professional, collaborative setting
- Exposure to a broad caseload including a full PreK-12 student population
- Onsite-only engagement for hands-on involvement and relationship-building
