About the Role
Our client, a pioneer in the Web3 space, is seeking an experienced Lead Decentralized Applications (dApps) Developer to join their innovative team in Randburg, Gauteng. This role is central to architecting, developing, and deploying sophisticated dApps on various blockchain platforms. You will lead a team of talented developers, mentor junior members, and drive the technical vision for our dApp initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex decentralized applications (dApps) across various blockchain networks. Architect robust and scalable dApp solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security. Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented smart contracts (e.g., using Solidity). Develop frontend interfaces for dApps, integrating them seamlessly with smart contracts and backend services. Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate user requirements into technical specifications. Mentor and guide junior dApp developers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. Conduct code reviews, perform testing, and ensure the reliability and security of dApp deployments. Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in dApp development and the broader Web3 ecosystem. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to dApps and their underlying blockchain infrastructure. Contribute to technical strategy and roadmap development for dApp initiatives. Requirements Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years focused on blockchain and dApp development. Expertise in Solidity programming and smart contract development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle). Strong experience with frontend development technologies (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular) and web3 libraries (e.g., ethers.js, web3.js). Proficiency in backend development and database management is a plus. Solid understanding of blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon) and decentralized architecture. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience working in the Gauteng region is a plus.
