Remote 1099 Contract Part-time or Full-time
Pay 60–80% of load profit Commission-based with unlimited earning potential.
As an independent 1099 freight agent with Fresh 3PL, you'll coordinate the movement of freight by matching shippers with carriers. You'll build customer relationships, negotiate rates, and make sure shipments move efficiently and profitably while staying compliant with federal regulations — all from wherever you work best.
What you'll do
Source and secure freight business by building relationships with shippers and carriers.
Negotiate competitive transportation rates and service terms.
Match carriers to shipments based on freight type, schedule, and delivery needs.
Monitor freight from origin to destination and resolve delays or reroutes.
Ensure carrier compliance with licensing, insurance, and safety regulations.
Act as the go-between for all parties and deliver excellent customer service.
Keep accurate documentation and records for transactions and compliance.
What you bring Proven ability to develop and maintain shipper and carrier relationships.
Strong negotiation skills to secure profitable rates.
Able to juggle multiple loads and priorities in a fast-paced market.
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial drive.
Comfortable calculating freight rates, margins, and commissions.
Experience 2+ years of freight / logistics industry experience
High school diploma or GED required
Associate's or bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred
Existing book of business is a plus
Tools you'll use Transportation management systems (TMS)
CRM software
Excel / Word or Google Workspace
