Job Overview A law firm seeks an entry-level Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney in New York, NY. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a newly-admitted attorney or someone new to this field to develop professional skills under the guidance of an experienced attorney, working directly with clients and courts. Duties Assist in Trusts and Estates matters and Surrogate's Court litigation. Engage in guardianship cases and client consultations. Conduct legal research and draft legal documents. Collaborate with team members to meet client needs. Participate in court proceedings and client meetings. Requirements Licensed to practice law in New York and in good standing. Current Notary Public license in New York or willingness to obtain. Relevant coursework or CLE in Trusts and Estates preferred. Familiarity with LGBTQIA community issues is advantageous. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in New York State (required). NYS Notary license (preferred). Skills Excellent writing and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online legal research. Experience with firm management software, such as Clio. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. Ability to work independently and exercise ethical judgment. Benefits 401(k) with matching and profit-sharing plan.
