- $91.34 per hourJob SummaryThe APP is an independent health care provider who coordinates inpatient care through collaboration with the Physician for Critical Care patients. The PA or APN provides care in accordance with the objectives policies and procedures of the practice and the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee.
Essential FunctionsProvides comprehensive critical care services to patients in the ICU and IMCU including assessment diagnosis and management of complex high acuity conditionsDemonstrates strong organizational skills communicates effectively and demonstrates effective time managementDemonstrates effectiveness in coordinating aspects of patient care within a critical care environmentDemonstrates the ability to compassionately interact with patients across different areas of careParticipate in multidisciplinary rounds care planning and family discussionsPerforms appropriate interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic testingPerform and or assist with invasive and noninvasive procedures in accordance with hospital privileges and scope of practiceThoroughly explains procedures to patients prior to testingProvides appropriate patient teaching as necessaryJob Requirements APN or PAAcute care certification preferred1 to 2 years acute care hospital experience preferredCurrent APN or PA certificationCurrent NJ state license CDS and DEACurrent BLS and ACLS required
