Job DescriptionGEMCO Constructors, LLC, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, is a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation systems and service contractor providing comprehensive design and build solutions for its customers throughout the United States.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled mid-level HVAC Technician to join our national service team. Key details:Perform advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial, industrial, and refrigeration systemsTravel to client locations nationwide on a 17-days-on / 4-days-off rotationCompetitive per diem and company-paid travel providedWhat You'll DoDiagnose and repair rooftop units, package systems, refrigeration equipment (walk-ins, reach-ins, glycol systems), and building automation controlsRecover, charge, and balance refrigerant systemsComplete final connections on split and ductless installs, including brazing, flaring, and power and control wiringRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BAS/controlsMentor Level 1 technicians and coordinate escalations with Level 3 staff or engineeringComplete detailed service reports, parts orders, and root-cause analysis documentationMaintain company vehicle, manage parts and inventory, and uphold all EPA, OSHA, and lockout/tagout safety requirementsWhat You BringHVAC certification or journeyman-level experience; trade school or equivalent preferredEPA 608 Type II or Universal certification required3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration systemsStrong electrical and controls knowledge, including BAS, VFDs, and refrigeration controlsValid driver's license and willingness to travel nationally per rotationAbility to lift 75 lbs., work at heights up to 100 feet, and perform physical tasks throughout the workdayBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and AD&D insurance (company-provided and voluntary)Short
