I am partnering up with a successful construction company in Northern New Jersey that is looking to add a Compliance Manager to its team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in keeping construction projects organized, compliant, and moving forward while working with internal teams, subcontractors, and outside partners.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee compliance procedures related to public construction projects, contractor licensing, registrations, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure subcontractors meet all onboarding and prequalification requirements before working on projects.
- Review and maintain essential records, including insurance certificates, tax forms, business registrations, and other compliance documents.
- Monitor outstanding paperwork, track renewal dates, and follow up on missing or incomplete information.
- Work directly with insurance brokers to obtain updated documentation and address certificate-related issues.
- Maintain accurate files related to compliance, insurance claims, and construction legal matters.
- Collaborate with project managers, accounting, purchasing, and other departments to address documentation gaps and keep processes on track.
- Guide and oversee compliance support personnel, helping ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
What We’re Looking For:
- Background in compliance, contract administration, document management, or a similar administrative function.
- Experience in construction or public works is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with subcontractor documentation, contractor registrations, and insurance compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
