As the Dispatcher you will support the Dispatch Supervisor in achieving all fleet and dispatch office needs. Responsible for sure creating and managing routes, ensuring Drivers complete necessary paperwork, and promote safe driving habits. In this position you will represent U.
S. AutoForce when interacting with customers and other internal teams.
Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure drivers complete all required daily paperwork: Driver logs, pre and post-trip inspections, and fuel receipts.
Ensure drivers are completing customer returns within 3 days of creationAssist with will-call customersAssist with reviewing Samsara driving alertsTrack drivers on Elite and close out all routes and open orders dailyTrain drivers on PIV, tablet, and safety expectations (may be involved in road tests)Complete all routing requests before scheduled cut-off timesBackup for Dispatch Supervisor and ECommAssign lines to be pulled by material handlers for will-call and metro routesAnswering phone calls in a professional and timely mannerCommunicates effectively with call center, sales, customers, drivers and other locationsSpot check trucks for cleanliness and compliance, assist drivers when a breakdown occursBackup driver, order pulling, operate power equipment as neededPromote and maintain a safe working environment for all team membersThe duties listed in this

Team members may be asked to perform other job-related tasks and follow any job-related instructions given by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodationsQualificationsMust be 21 years or older (mandatory company policy)Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record in compliance with our driver policy1 year of professional driving experience (cube van, box truck or semi), and satisfactory completion of company road test by qualified assessor1 year experience in transportation industryKnowledge of DOT regulations and legal requirements for driversExcellent communication, customer service, and organization skillsAbility to be trained and safely use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts. Pass a forklift certification testAbility to safely lift 50 pounds consistently and occasionally lift up to 80 poundsAbility to exert a pushing force of up to 40 pounds
- working with barrels and industrial/agricultural tiresAbility to follow instructions and safe operating proceduresDemonstrated ability to provide quality customer serviceAbility to work overtime as neededSuccessfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain DOT Medical Card per DOT/FMCSA guidelines and requirements during the hiring process.
