The Armed Security Officer is responsible for responding to all emergency codes, internal/external disaster events as needed and/or requested, conducting preliminary investigations of reported incidents, and performing other security related tasks as directed by a security supervisor/and or ManagerResponsibilities:Performs a variety of routine daily security duties and tasks in a professional and cooperative mannerCompletes daily reports and records by clearly writing in complete details of activities on daily shiftReports are never to be taken off property for confidential reasonsCompletes a variance report on any incident such as thefts, injuries, arrests, and damage to propertyObserves employees leaving carrying hospital propertyIf employee does not have proper paperwork from their employer or Administration, they must be detained and the proper Administrator is to be called or property confiscatedAssists employees and others when disturbances occur in the Emergency Room, outpatient areas, nursing floors, and all hospital areasAssists hospital in movement of bodiesMaintains security of remains in storage and ensures proper identification on everybody receivedChecks cold storage daily on each shift and records malfunctionsHandles valuables/ deposits/ lost & found/ and keys in appropriate manner to protect propertyRequirements:Education/SkillsHigh School DiplomaExperienceN/ALicenses, Registrations, or CertificationsDL in state of employmentSECUR NWork Schedule:3 Days
