Job Title: Construction Quality – HVAC, Mechanical & Piping Systems
Location: Lebanon, Indiana | Fully Onsite
Contract: Initial 12 months + anticipated extensions
Package: Competitive W2 hourly rate + expenses
I am seeking an experienced Construction Quality Lead to oversee HVAC, mechanical and piping installations on a major pharmaceutical construction project in Lebanon, Indiana.
Responsibilities:
• Provide field quality oversight for HVAC, mechanical equipment, process piping and utility systems throughout construction, commissioning and turnover.
• Conduct inspections, audits and field walkdowns to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and industry standards.
• Manage quality plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), NCRs, corrective actions and quality documentation.
• Oversee mechanical testing activities, including pressure testing, flushing, HVAC balancing and commissioning.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, commissioning and contractor teams to resolve quality issues and support system turnover.
Experience required:
• 10+ years of construction quality experience covering HVAC, mechanical and piping systems.
• 5+ years of cleanroom construction experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor or similar controlled environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale industrial or commercial construction projects valued at $200M+.
• Strong understanding of mechanical utilities, process piping, HVAC systems and relevant ASME, ASHRAE and SMACNA standards.
• Proven experience managing ITPs, NCRs, quality inspections, corrective actions and construction turnover documentation.
• Pharmaceutical/GMP construction and commissioning experience preferred.
Fully onsite field-based position, typically 50 hours per week, with overtime expected.
