About NeoVolta
NeoVolta Inc. (NASDAQ: NEOV) is a U.S.-based energy technology company focused on advanced energy storage solutions for residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications. Headquartered in Poway, California, NeoVolta is entering an important stage of growth as we expand our product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities, and market presence.
NeoVolta Power is the utility-scale and C&I battery energy storage (BESS) business of NeoVolta, with domestic manufacturing in Pendergrass, Georgia. NeoVolta Power delivers BESS projects from proposal through commissioning and long-term service, and Domestic Content and FEOC compliance are central to how we sell.
About the Role
We are seeking a sales operations leader from the utility-scale BESS, solar or power equipment manufacturing world to own the commercial engine behind our NVApex and NVGain products. The role combines sales operations, revenue operations, deal desk and commercial operations responsibilities: this person will manage how opportunities reach us through every channel, turn them into a single reliable pipeline and forecast, connect that forecast to what our factory can build, and help decide which customers and projects we pursue.
This is a build-out role. Reporting to the President, you will own NeoVolta Powers sales operations department, establishing its processes, tools and team as the business grows. You will work closely with the VP of PMO & Project Delivery, the Pendergrass Plant Manager and the CFO to make sure what we sell, what we build and what we forecast stay aligned.
This role is built for someone who has run pipeline, forecasting and demand planning for a long-cycle, project-based equipment business with a factory behind it. It is not a CRM administrator or reporting analyst position.
Key Responsibilities
Build & Lead Sales Operations
- Design the commercial operating model: pipeline stages aligned to our proposal process from rough order of magnitude (ROM) pricing through firm offer, qualification criteria, forecast cadence and KPIs (pipeline coverage in MWh, forecast accuracy, conversion by channel, margin).
- As the business grows, build the case for and help hire additional sales operations roles (e.g., analysts, partner managers).
- Report commercial pipeline and performance to executive leadership.
Channel & Partner Management
- Own NeoVolta Powers routes to market, including strategic partner sales teams, internal business development and referral partners.
- Set clear rules of engagement with strategic partners, including deal registration, account ownership, pricing authority and handoff criteria, and run regular joint pipeline reviews.
- Build and manage the referral partner program, including agreements, fee structures, lead attribution and payouts.
- Equip partner sellers to position NVApex and NVGain, including our Domestic Content and FEOC advantages.
Pipeline & Forecasting
- Maintain a single pipeline across all channels, weighted by project milestones (financing, interconnection, permitting, NTP) rather than sales stage alone.
- Produce the bookings, MWh and revenue forecast and explain the drivers behind changes.
- Lead attribution and win/loss analysis, drawing on bid data from the proposal function, to show which channels, segments and customers produce profitable wins.
Demand Planning & S&OP
- Lead a monthly S&OP process with Pendergrass operations, Procurement and Finance, translating the pipeline into production slots, cell requirements and delivery schedules.
- Flag capacity conflicts early and recommend how to allocate production among competing opportunities.
Customer Selection & Deal Desk
- Define target segments across developers, IPPs, utilities, EPCs, C&I and data center customers.
- Build a qualification framework grounded in project bankability: counterparty credit, financing status, interconnection progress and fit with our products and capacity.
- Bring the commercial recommendation to each go/no-go decision (strategic fit, margin targets, capacity fit), working with the Senior Proposal Manager, who runs the bid process, and the PMO, which assesses delivery feasibility.
- Own approval rules for pricing
