Adjunct Professor of Visual ArtsHouston Christian University (HCU) invites applications for Adjunct Professor of Visual Arts. The Department of Visual Arts, part of the School of Fine Arts, offers degrees in Bachelor of Fine Arts – Studio Art, Bachelor of Arts – Studio Art, and Master of Fine Arts – Studio Art. Another degree with an Art emphasis is the Bachelor of Science – All Level Teacher Certification in Art.
Job
Responsibilities:
Teach courses based on expertise and need, including but not limited to studio art courses, undergraduate art history courses, and art appreciation.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
MFA or PhD from an accredited university.
Possess a distinguished record and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Ability to clearly express how their Christian faith enriches, guides, and under-girds their understanding of creative art.
Ability to articulate a vision for the role of his or her discipline at HCU that is supportive of the Ten Pillars 2030.
