Role Overview
Apply venture capital and corporate law expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world legal and transactional analysis. This remote contract engagement supports complex legal and transactional needs for a global customer. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze venture capital financings and corporate transactions, providing written and verbal expert insights.
- Draft, assess, and comment on investment documents, including term sheets, share purchase agreements, and convertible notes.
- Evaluate and explain transaction structuring and corporate governance considerations affecting startups, investors, and corporations.
- Translate legal concepts and transaction processes into clear, accessible language for AI training.
- Identify potential legal, regulatory, and compliance issues in sample scenarios and documentation.
- Provide constructive feedback on sample legal text to improve AI-generated output.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and contributors through remote communication platforms.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in at least one jurisdiction.
- Extensive experience, ideally 7 or more years, in venture capital financing, corporate transactions, and startup legal advisory.
- Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate investment and corporate governance documents.
- Expertise in venture capital financing, corporate transactions, transactional analysis, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, legal research and analysis, and legal drafting and negotiation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to varied audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability in high-stakes transactional settings.
- Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and cross-border investment considerations is a plus.
- Experience collaborating remotely on multidisciplinary projects is advantageous.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
- $140 to $400 per hour.
