The Role As a Facility Administrator at NorthStar Emergency Center, you will manage the daily operations of our facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will coordinate maintenance, oversee administrative tasks, and support the overall mission of providing exceptional emergency care.
What You'll Do
Own day-to-day operations of the facility, including staffing coordination, scheduling oversight, supply chain, and vendor management Lead pre-opening readiness: licensing, accreditation (CLIA/COLA), state and CMS compliance, and coordination with the clinical director on operational policy Manage facility budget, payroll coordination with the finance team, and cost controls Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections, payer credentialing, and community/vendor relationships Hire, onboard, and manage non-clinical staff (front desk, facilities, administrative support) Partner with the Director of Nursing and Medical Director on clinical operations, quality assurance, and incident response Ensure the facility runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations Report directly to ownership on operational performance, financial metrics, and growth planningWhat We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field required; Master's (MHA/MBA) preferred Minimum 5 years of healthcare facility management experience; freestanding ER, urgent care, or hospital operations experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of Texas FSER licensing requirements, CMS conditions of participation, and healthcare compliance standards Strong financial acumen budgeting, P&L management, vendor negotiation Proven ability to lead a team and build operational processes from the ground up Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a startup environmentNice to Have Experience in a healthcare settingPrior clinical experience (e.g., nursing, EMS, or allied health background) helpful for understanding frontline workflows and communicating effectively with clinical staffFamiliarity with budgeting and financial managementCertification in facility management or related areasKnowledge of emergency preparedness and response protocols
