School Psychologist – Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Location:
Rio Rancho, NM Discipline: School Psychologist Schedule: Full Time – 37.5 hours/week Assignment Dates: ASAP – May 28, 2027 Caseload: Secondary Position Overview We are seeking a School Psychologist to support a school district in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This full-time position will primarily focus on supporting a secondary caseload, with an emphasis on special education evaluations and collaboration with the school team. Experience with evaluations and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) is preferred, making this a great opportunity for a school psychologist with strong assessment and special education experience. Job Responsibilities Conduct and support comprehensive special education evaluations Participate in Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) Complete evaluation reports and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other members of the special education team Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as needed Provide recommendations based on evaluation results Support the academic and behavioral needs of secondary students Position Highlights Full-time position – 37.5 hours/week Secondary caseload ASAP start through May 28, 2027 Evaluation-focused responsibilities Experience with MDRs preferred Supportive school-based environment Compensation $50–$55 per hour, based on experience and assignment details. Eligible candidates may also have access to benefits and travel assignment options, including stipends for qualifying temporary relocations. Qualifications Candidates must have or be willing to obtain an New Mexico PED School Psychologist license School-based psychology experience preferred Experience with special education evaluations preferred Experience with Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) preferred Strong assessment, evaluation, documentation, and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with school teams and families Interested in learning more?
