The selected candidate will provide engineering and administration support. Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure. Provides technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation, and ongoing operations. Ensured that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements. Documents specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results. communicates project objectives, scope and status to project teams. Develops, integrates, and oversees storage arrays, fiber switches, backup solutions, and associated components. Monitors and reports on existing data restore and disaster recovery capabilities. Provides recommendations on process improvement/efficiencies. Maintains and oversees data backup solutions to ensure mission objective are met. Researches, builds, and implements file sharing technologies to meet customer requirements. Performs routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance. Performs storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components. Authors/documents policies and procedures to support the operational storage environment and participates in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies. and recommends enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize existing storage technologies. Three (3) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field. This includes evaluating, constructing, and integrating enterprise-level storage and backup software technologies. Two (2) years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) management to include capabilities and technologies such as: Fiber Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) unified fabric, HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, and LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and file sharing / NAS (Network Addressable Storage). operation of enterprise backup/restore services, using software such as Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity Cloud. Two (2) years hands-on experience working with Department of War (DoW) IT systems. Top Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance with favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation. - SAN Specialist, ONTAP Pure Certified Data Storage Associate Pure Certified FlashArrayTM Implementation Specialist Must reside within commutable distance of either Richmond, VA or Tracy, CA in order to work onsite full time. Certifications from multiple vendors including Pure, NetApp, Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud. Must be able to work from a computer for extended hours in an office environment and be able to work from comm closets when/as needed. The projected salary range for this position is $110,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
