Warehouse Worker / Material Handler
A leading regional commercial contracting and property restoration firm is seeking a dependable, hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role is essential to our daily operationsresponsible for preparing orders, pulling materials, maintaining equipment, and keeping our product flow running smoothly.
Location: Amityville, NY (and surrounding area)
Pay Rate: $20.00 $24.00 / hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday Friday, 12:30 PM 9:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer/job orders for outbound shipping and job site delivery; conduct daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Safely operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts to move products and retrieve items from high-rack storage areas.
- Drive company trucks or vans for local deliveries, including loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Assist with basic maintenance, distribution, and upkeep of specialty restoration machinery (e.g., dehumidifiers, water extractors, grinding machines, rip-up tools).
- Keep warehouse, staging areas, and loading docks clean, organized, safe, and shrink-wrapped for daily operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2+ years of general warehouse experience preferred.
- Active Forklift Certification required.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with basic equipment/machinery maintenance is a strong plus; fundamental computer skills required.
- Able to frequently lift 175 lbs (up to 100 lbs occasionally), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive manual tasks (bending, twisting, reaching).
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Highly motivated, punctual, and reliable with a focus on workplace safety and team collaboration.
