Security Specialist II

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Serve as Directorate Security Manager in all aspects of physical and information security.
• Maintain access rosters to all controlled areas, to include serving as primary for all combination access areas (i.e. X10 locks).
• Perform IDS daily deactivation/activation and monthly inspections.
• Perform COMSEC and SECRET safe daily checks.
• Serve as COMSEC custodian.
• Manage Directorate Key Control Program.
• Maintain all necessary logs associated with the SIPR/JMN/SDREN connections, in accordance with the Directorate Classified Storage Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Provide SECRET documentation auditing for proper labeling, storage, etc.
• Maintain an overall understanding of Security Classification Guides for each test program.
• Review of SCG requirements and receive necessary clarification from PM Security Officers.
• Ensure the Directorate is in compliance with all Security policies and regulations for Staff Assist Visits (SAVs) and Command Inspections.
• Coordinate and track the proper handling of customer provided classified assets.
• Ensure security protocol is in place for Directorate and Division VIP/Foreign visitor tours.
• Conduct RAMs at appropriate intervals.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have completed HS/GED.
• Shall have ten (10) years experience directly related to industrial, information, physical and operational security. Shall have experience with DOD security publications and regulations and have experience in drafting policies and procedure from Government security regulations, for application at the organization level.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
