Overview:
This position provides leadership and consultation towards operational excellence and process optimization across the Information Technology, Information Security, Data Oversight, and Disaster Recovery second line of defense functions. The position will develop strategies that drive continuous improvements based on the results of process analysis.

 

*This position can work remote from anywhere within the United States.

Responsibilities:
Business Support & Operational Excellence:

 

Provides support for risk management programs, initiatives, and leaders. Serves as a consultant on risk best practices, processes, and regulatory requirements.

Influences and drives process improvements, implementation, and execution of operational excellence across risk management processes.

Assesses business risks and identifies trends and/or symptoms of business process and operational breakdowns. Ensures business processes & operational controls meet risk program and regulatory obligations.

Drives end-to-end projects and deliverables in a fast paced, results-driven environment.

Facilitates dialogue with various stakeholders, understands their needs and drives solutions to meet and/or exceed risk management business needs.

Collaborates with the stakeholders, manages deliverables, interdependencies, tracks milestones with respective accountable owners and understands requirements.

Supports initiatives to continually improve and enhance existing processes. Ability to translate concerns/needs into options and communicate effectively and concisely at all levels, both verbal and written. Leads and creates materials for stakeholder meetings.

Risk Oversight & Monitoring:

Provides objective oversight of risks through effective challenge using defined methodologies and subject matter expertise. Provides consultation, and support for risk management.

Fosters business unit relationships and implements training to promote engagement in risk management programs, including compliance with all risk policies and standards.

May assist with presentations, workshops, and other materials as necessary to communicate risk management tactics. May provide guidance to less experienced associates in the department.

Risk Management Proficiency:

Maintains a strong knowledge of risk management developments or changes within the organization, industry, and market.

Develops active relationships within professional networks to stay current on emerging issues and regulatory requirements.

Communicates risk vision and regulatory requirements to applicable stakeholders, including less experienced associates in the work group.

Exam Support:

Assists with internal audits through partnership with both internal and external auditors. Works closely with regulatory agencies and assists regulatory exams.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or Accounting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Financial Services, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Finance, or AccountingPreferred Education: Advanced DegreePreferred Area of Experience: Enterprise Risk Management or Operational Risk ManagementSkill(s): Experience working with Governance Risk and Compliance applications, Knowledge of risk techniques and practices. Strong presentation and documentation    skills, proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint.

 

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $98,000 to $160,000 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.
