Description:
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Structural Welders for a project located in Warwick County, VA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is based on experience and skill level. 

 

Job Scope:     

Air Carbon Arc Gouging

Heating Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch

shipboard sub-assemblies

ladders staging

Multi-pass, all position fillet and butt welds using the following processes: SMAW GMAW FCAW and GMAWP

All position Horizontal 2G Vertical 3G 4G SMAW

All position Horizontal 2G 3G 4G FCAW Horizontal 2G position GMAW

All position Horizontal 2G Vertical 3G and Overhead 4G GMAW

 

Requirements:

4+ Years Naval Shipyard Experience as a First Class Welder

Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry

Must pass a variety of Welding test: Multi-pass, Butt Weld, Welder Qualification Test, etc 

Skills: 
Experience working in a physically demanding environments 

Ability to properly use fillet and butt weld gauges
